Colour Depth

A brief description of colour depth and what it means:

6-bit RGB equates to a colour palette of 262,144 colours.

8-bit RGB equates to 16,777,216 colours.

10-bit RGB equates to 1,073,741,824 colours.

Any increase the colour depth means more shades (or definition) of each colour.

In the digital world the number of colours depends on the RGB colour depth.

In the real world it’s pretty much infinite…
